His journey began with a strong foundation of discipline and service, having served on active duty in the United States Coast Guard from 1982 to 1986. During this time, he developed a deep sense of responsibility, teamwork, and technical skill that would shape his future endeavors.

Following his military service, John transitioned into the field of private investigation, working with numerous agencies. This chapter of his career sharpened his attention to detail and investigative mindset—traits that would later prove invaluable in diagnosing and resolving complex pool system issues.

John also spent time working with Local 25, where he further honed his mechanical and trade skills. This experience provided him with a solid grounding in construction and systems work, seamlessly translating into his later success in the pool industry.
